Onitama: Sensei’s Path Expansion

Sensei’s path is an expansion to the two player abstract strategy game Onitama.

The Sensei’s path expansion contains 16 new movement cards such as the fox and the rat. These follow the same layout as those in the base game. Each card depicts a way in which one character can move on a player’s turn.

The cards in this expansion can be used as a separate set of Onitama cards. Alternatively the cards from the expansion can be shuffled into those from the base game to make a bigger card pool.

Sensei’s Path does not change the play from the base game of Onitama. Players are still attempting to win either by capturing the opponent’s master or by moving their master to the opposing master’s starting spot on the board. The expansion does not add any complexity to that in the base game. Nor does it add any additional rules.

However, the addition of new cards gives an even greater range of possibilities and combinations. This can help to ensure that each game feels fresh, with players having to learn how to make the most of the cards on the table.

You must have the base game in order to use this expansion.
